Rocky’s working bloodlines are outstanding. Rocky’s father Tom z Pohraniční stráže; a Czech Border Patrol Police Dog and producer of many Police Dogs is one of the most successful stud dogs used in the breed of working dogs. In 1999 Tom became the Winner of The International Stud Dog Show in Bratislava, Slovakia. (this is one of the largest working stud dog shows in Europe.)
With certified Czech Border Patrol dogs in his third and forth generations, Rocky's pedigree is full of some of the greatest working and producing dogs of the present and past. Cordon An-Sat, a great producer of many outstanding working dogs in Slovakia/ the very influential DDR producing stud dog, IWO v.d. Buschecke and the great Klara z Pohranicni Straze to name a few. Rocky’s mother, Hobby Venusina Sopka along with her grandfather CIR z Vrtovske Doliny has competed numerous times on the Czech Republic and European levels. Hobby possesses the old Czech working blood of the dog DAR z Przma, who in his time was the most successful producer of working dogs in Czechoslovakia.

Rocky imparts his offspring with his excellent temperament and versatility, strength of nerve, healthy working structure, considerable working drives and his beautiful dark pigment. Rocky approaches all facets of his work with extreme intelligence and willingness to please his handler. Rocky is confident in his protection , full in his bites, with a complete loyalty for his family. He is truly a exceptional representative for the German Shepherd Breed.

Sapphire Shepherds has had requests for and have placed Rocky's offspring worldwide. His progeny are now working in various areas of service: law enforcement, search and rescue, drug and bomb detection and serious working dog breeding programs.His progeny are proving to be also very successful and capable in the areas of Schutzhund, agility, competion obedience and personal/family protection homes.
